Issued in 1976, United States Scott #1694a is a four-stamp se-tenant commemorative honoring the signing of the Declaration of Independence, marking the 200th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The connected stamps together reproduce John Trumbull’s famous painting Declaration of Independence, depicting the presentation of the draft document to the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.
