Issued in 1981, Uganda Scott #317a is a souvenir sheet commemorating the Royal Wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, one of the most widely celebrated royal events of the 20th century. The issue marks the marriage that took place on 29 July 1981 at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, watched by hundreds of millions worldwide and enthusiastically commemorated throughout the Commonwealth.
