Issued in 1969, this elegant four-stamp Christmas set from the Turks & Caicos Islands features richly detailed designs inspired by Renaissance-style religious artwork, commemorating the Nativity and the Holy Family’s Flight into Egypt.

Each stamp reproduces a miniature painting bordered with ornate medieval patterns, capturing the spiritual and artistic heritage of the Christmas story:

• 1¢ & 15¢ — Nativity with John the Baptist

• 3¢ & 30¢ — Flight into Egypt

Framed in warm jewel tones of burgundy, blue, olive, and gold, these stamps embody both reverence and craftsmanship, typical of late 1960s British Commonwealth Christmas issues. The “E II R” royal cipher appears at the top of each design, marking the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
