Description
Togo Scott #364–368 (1959) — United Nations Day Commemorative Set, MNH
This complete 5-stamp set was issued by the Republic of Togo on October 24, 1959, celebrating United Nations Day (“Journée des Nations Unies”). Each design features a symbolic image of peace and cooperation, with the UN emblem prominently displayed beneath a sculptural allegory of unity.
Denominations range from 15 francs to 60 francs, each printed in a distinct color combination that highlights the fine intaglio engraving work of the period. These stamps mark an early moment in Togo’s modern postal history, issued just before full independence (1960).
An attractive and meaningful set for collectors of African issues, United Nations thematics, or world peace commemoratives.
Condition: Mint, Never Hinged (MNH).
