Description
This is a mint never hinged (MNH) stamp from the Soviet Union (USSR), Scott #2448, issued in 1961.
The stamp features a stylized graphic scene with bold linear elements, including transmission lines, structures, and a wide landscape, symbolizing the Soviet communications and transport network. Executed in a monochrome blue palette, the design emphasizes motion, connection, and infrastructure rather than individual figures, reflecting early 1960s Soviet graphic and ideological style.
Rather than portraying a specific person, the imagery focuses on systems and networks, a recurring theme in Soviet-era philately that highlighted collective achievement and national integration across vast distances.
Condition:
Mint never hinged (MNH). Original gum intact and undisturbed. Clean surface, strong color, and intact perforations.
