Description

This is a mint never hinged (MNH) stamp from Russia, Scott #219, issued during the Russian Civil War period and featuring a bold surcharge and overprint reflecting the political and economic instability of the era.

The stamp is based on an earlier Imperial Russian design, overprinted with a large black star and revised denomination, elements commonly associated with provisional or revolutionary postal issues.
