Portugal – Scott #1011–1013 (1967) commemorate the nation’s membership in the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), established to promote economic cooperation and trade among non-EEC European nations. Designed by J. Oliveira and printed by Casa da Moeda, these stamps feature a modern circular arrangement of member nations’ flags—Portugal, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Austria—symbolizing unity and partnership in commerce. The three denominations include 1$00 olive and plum, 3$50 tan and green, and 4$30 gray and blue, each executed in a clean, geometric style that reflects the optimism of 1960s European design. This set is mint, never hinged, with pristine gum and vivid, well-centered color.
