Poland – Scott #3151, Mint Never Hinged
Issued in 1993, this powerful 4000 złoty commemorative marks the 50th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (1943–1993). The design by Ruth Avrahami features a striking image of a Jewish fighter drawn in stark contrast against the ruins of the ghetto, accompanied by inscriptions in Polish and Hebrew.
The stamp honors the courage and sacrifice of those who resisted Nazi oppression during one of World War II’s most tragic and heroic episodes. A somber and important issue reflecting Poland’s remembrance of its wartime history. Mint, never hinged, with full original gum.
