Description

Issued in 1994, Malagasy Scott #1192–1199 is a pictorial commemorative set titled “Poissons d’Aquarium” (Aquarium Fish), depicting a variety of ornamental freshwater fish species. Released by the Republic of Madagascar, the issue reflects the country’s late-20th-century focus on colorful thematic subjects with strong international appeal.

The set features finely illustrated fish rendered in vibrant, painterly detail, each shown in a naturalistic aquatic setting.
