Description
Liechtenstein — Official Stamp, Crown Design with Gutter Margin (Scott O42a)
This mint never hinged official stamp from the Principality of Liechtenstein, cataloged as Scott O42a, features a crowned emblem design issued for government correspondence and presented here with its original gutter margin.
The 55 rappen value displays a finely patterned background centered on the princely crown, with vertical inscriptions reading “REGIERUNG” and “DIENSTSACHE,” clearly identifying the stamp as an official government issue. The attached margin bears the red inscription “COK DER WERT,” a production control marking normally removed during separation, making this gutter-margin example a more distinctive format than a single stamp alone.
Offered in mint never hinged condition with full original gum, both the stamp and margin are clean and well preserved. Color remains fresh, printing is sharp, and perforations are intact throughout. A desirable specialist item for collectors of Liechtenstein officials, gutter pairs, marginal inscriptions, or administrative postal material.
