Liechtenstein — Prince Franz Josef II, 70th Birthday Souvenir Sheet (Scott 590)

This mint never hinged souvenir sheet from the Principality of Liechtenstein, cataloged as Scott #590, was issued in 1976 to commemorate the 70th birthday of Prince Franz Josef II (1906–1976), one of the most significant figures in modern Liechtenstein history.

The sheet contains two stamps featuring reproductions of commemorative coins honoring the prince. One stamp shows a left-facing profile portrait, while the second displays the Liechtenstein coat of arms, both rendered in rich color blocks with patterned backgrounds. The bilingual inscription and the text “70. Geburtstag Fürst Franz Josef II” appear prominently below, integrating the commemorative theme into the overall design.
