A beautifully engraved commemorative set issued in 1947 by the Republic of Liberia to honor the 100th Anniversary of the First U.S. Postage Stamps (1847–1947). Modeled after the original U.S. 5¢ Franklin and 10¢ Washington designs, each stamp incorporates Liberia’s national emblem with Liberty Seated at center.
