Lebanon – Scott #C284–C285 (1960) “World Refugee Year” Airmail Set of 2 – Mint Never Hinged.
A meaningful and beautifully designed pair of airmail stamps issued by the Republic of Lebanon in 1960 to commemorate the World Refugee Year (1959–1960). Each stamp features a stylized cedar tree with human figures forming its roots, symbolizing unity, resilience, and shelter for the displaced. Printed in two colors — 25p brown and 40p green — and inscribed in French and Arabic, these stamps carry both artistic and humanitarian significance. Mint never hinged with full original gum and strong color throughout.
