Description

Issued by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in 1958, this four-stamp commemorative set, Scott #348–351, marks the 10th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948–1958). The stamps feature a central flame-and-emblem design symbolizing liberty, justice, and human dignity, surrounded by inscriptions in both Arabic and English.

Each denomination is printed in a distinct color, giving the set strong visual contrast while reinforcing the shared theme. This issue reflects Jordan’s participation in international human rights observances during the postwar era and is representative of mid-20th-century UN-related topical philately.

All four stamps from the set are present.

Condition: Mint Never Hinged (MNH).
