Japan – Scott #s 2532-33, used

Description

Issued in 1996, Japan Scott #2532–2533 presents a charming pair of illustrated designs drawn from traditional and contemporary Japanese visual culture. Scott #2532 features a stylized horse adorned with floral motifs, referencing folk art traditions and symbolic animals in Japanese aesthetics. Scott #2533 offers a contrasting image of a sleeping cat, rendered in warm colors with a calm, domestic intimacy that balances the more decorative companion stamp.

Both stamps are offered used, with light, unobtrusive cancellations that do not overwhelm the artwork. The colors remain rich and expressive, making this an appealing set for collectors interested in Japanese illustration, animals in art, or modern commemoratives that blend tradition with everyday imagery.
