Hong Kong – Scott #151–153 (1937) Unused, Hinged – King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Coronation Set
This attractive three-stamp commemorative set was issued on May 12, 1937 to celebrate the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later the Queen Mother). The design features finely engraved portraits of the newly crowned royal couple, flanked by crossed scepters and the Imperial Crown, symbolizing continuity and stability in the British Empire following the abdication crisis of 1936.
Each denomination is printed in a distinctive color:
