French Polynesia Scott #C129, issued in 1976, is a used airmail commemorative marking the Bicentennial of the United States (1776–1976), viewed through the lens of Pacific exploration and maritime history.

The stamp features an impressive fleet of 18th-century sailing ships at sea, symbolizing transoceanic exploration and contact between Europe, the Americas, and the Pacific.
