Description

This is a used two-stamp set from Denmark, Scott #678–679, issued in 1980 to mark the 350th anniversary of Nyboder, the historic yellow barracks district in Copenhagen originally built to house naval personnel.

The stamps depict architectural views of Nyboder’s distinctive row houses, known for their long, low buildings, red-tiled roofs, and uniform yellow facades:

• Scott 678 (1.30 kr) – A side elevation view emphasizing the rhythmic repetition of rooftops and chimneys

• Scott 679 (1.60 kr) – A perspective view along the rows, highlighting Nyboder’s geometric layout and communal design
