These are some of Denmark’s most admired mid-century commemoratives, combining masterful maritime engraving with bold color and impeccable print quality.

Set includes:

  • 25 øre (Scott 327) – Carmine, depicting a fully rigged Danish naval training ship under sail

  • 50 øre (Scott 328) – Deep blue, featuring a companion vessel with beautifully rendered rigging and wave detail

This MNH pair features:

  • Full original gum, pristine and unhinged

  • Sharp, clean impressions with excellent color depth

  • Outstanding engraved detail in the sails, hull, and sea

  • The “F IX 1951” monogram and “1701” dates, marking the Academy’s founding and the reign of King Frederik IX

High-grade MNH examples of this set are always in demand among collectors of maritime themes, naval history, and mid-20th-century Scandinavian design.
