Description

This is a used set of Denmark Scott #294–296, issued in 1945 to commemorate the 75th birthday of King Christian X. These handsome commemoratives feature a regal circular medallion portrait of the king, framed by laurel branches and a crown—an elegant design marking both his longevity and his symbolic role during the German occupation of Denmark.

Set includes:

• 10 øre (Scott 294) – Violet

• 20 øre (Scott 295) – Carmine

• 40 øre (Scott 296) – Deep blue

All three stamps show clean circular date cancels, with excellent color and sharp engraved detailing, especially around the laurel wreath and the medallion frame. This is a historically significant set, issued just months after Denmark’s liberation at the end of World War II.
