Description
This Danish semi-postal stamp, Scott B4, was issued in 1916 as part of Denmark’s early charitable stamp program, continuing the series begun the previous year.
The design reprises the crowned postal horn entwined with a serpent, a symbolic motif combining royal postal authority (“KGL. POST”) with humanitarian purpose. Rendered here in a bold red tone, the stamp reflects Denmark’s restrained yet dignified early 20th-century graphic style.
