A finely printed portrait issue from Denmark’s 1904–07 definitive series featuring King Christian IX, engraved in a rich brown shade. The design shows the Danish monarch in uniform within a rectangular frame, flanked by the denomination numerals “25” in circles. This used example bears a bold, legible postmark with well-centered perforations and strong color. Issued near the end of Christian IX’s reign, these early 20th-century definitives marked a transition toward modern Danish stamp design.
