Description

Denmark Scott #217 (1934) is the 30 øre orange value from the engraved definitive series featuring King Christian X. The stamp presents a finely engraved profile portrait of the king enclosed within a laurel-framed oval, with the inscription “CHR. X REX” along the lower border.

At the top corners appear the traditional post horns, symbols of the Danish postal system, while large “30” numerals in the bottom corners complete the balanced, symmetrical layout typical of the Christian X definitives issued in the 1930s. The warm orange color makes this value one of the more visually distinctive stamps of the series.

This used example features a bold, well-centered circular date cancel. The portrait and frame remain fully visible, and the engraving retains its crisp detail. A desirable used example for collectors of Danish monarch issues, town cancels, or classic engraved definitives.
