Description

Denmark Scott #216 (1934) is a 25 øre light blue value from the engraved definitive series portraying King Christian X. The stamp features a detailed profile portrait of the king set within a laurel-framed oval, with “CHR. X REX” inscribed along the lower border of the vignette.

The design includes post horns in the upper corners and large “25” numerals at the bottom corners, giving the stamp the balanced and symmetrical appearance characteristic of Denmark’s classic 1930s definitives. The bright blue color provides excellent contrast with the crisp engraving, making this one of the more visually appealing values of the series.

This used example shows a bold, centered circular cancel that remains readable without overwhelming the portrait. The impression is sharp, the paper fresh, and the perforations intact—typical of well-preserved used examples.
