Denmark Scott #168 (1927) is part of the beautifully engraved series commemorating the tricentennial of King Christian IV. Printed in a rich violet shade, this 15 øre value features a finely detailed portrait of Christian IV in his distinctive 17th-century attire, rendered with the precision and linework characteristic of Denmark’s classic engraved issues.

The vertical borders display the dates “1624” and “1924,” marking the 300-year anniversary being honored, while crowned monograms appear in the upper corners. The denomination “15 ØRE 15” is displayed boldly at the top, balancing the symmetrical, decorative frame surrounding the portrait.
