Denmark Scott #116, issued in 1913, is part of the long-running definitive series featuring King Christian X, one of Denmark’s most recognizable and widely collected classic designs. Printed in deep violet and green, the stamp shows a finely engraved profile portrait of the king in military uniform, framed by laurel branches and the bold “40 ØRE” denomination at the bottom.

This example is used, with a clear, legible circular cancellation that does not obscure the central portrait—highly desirable for collectors of early 20th-century Danish definitives. The stamp retains strong color, solid perforations, and good overall appearance.
