This beautifully engraved pair from Chile’s 1958 Campaña Nacional Forestal (National Forestry Campaign) depicts the majestic Araucaria tree, native to the Andes Mountains and a national symbol of Chile’s natural heritage.

• #363 (10c green) – Regular issue inscribed Correos de Chile

• #C274 (75c brown & green) – Airmail issue inscribed LAN Chile

Both designs feature the same scenic composition: towering Araucaria trees rising over distant Andean peaks, emphasizing conservation and the importance of Chile’s forests. These issues were printed by the Casa de Moneda de Chile, known for their fine intaglio craftsmanship.
