Description
Cambodia — Red Cross “Entraide des Enfants du Monde” Semi-Postal Set 20c–50c (Scott 71–73)
This appealing semi-postal trio from the Kingdom of Cambodia, cataloged as Scott 71–73, was issued in support of the Red Cross and international child welfare initiatives under the theme “Entraide des Enfants du Monde” (“Helping the Children of the World”). The set reflects postwar humanitarian priorities through gentle imagery and balanced design.
Scott 71 (20 centimes + 0.20r, violet) depicts a group of children gathered within a laurel wreath, symbolizing protection, cooperation, and global solidarity.
Scott 72 (30 centimes + 0.50r, blue) presents the same central motif in cooler tones, reinforcing the message of care and international assistance.
Scott 73 (50 centimes + 0.80r, rose) completes the set with warmer coloration, visually emphasizing compassion and charitable purpose.
Each stamp bears the Red Cross emblem and bilingual inscriptions, combining Khmer script with French text, characteristic of Cambodian issues of this period. All three stamps are offered in mint never hinged (MNH) condition, with full original gum, clean margins, intact perforations, and fresh color throughout.
An attractive and historically meaningful set ideal for collectors of Cambodia, Red Cross issues, semi-postals, and humanitarian-themed philately.
