This beautiful 1980 Wohlfahrtsmarken (Welfare) set from Berlin showcases a series of delicately illustrated wildflowers native to Central Europe. Issued to support social welfare programs, the set combines botanical artistry with precision engraving, continuing the long-running Berlin tradition of semi-postal charity stamps.


Design

Each denomination depicts a different flower, with the Latin and German names finely inscribed below the illustration:
