Bavaria Scott #97 (1911–1919) — Used
This 7½ Pfennig green definitive from the Kingdom of Bavaria (Scott #97) features the dignified portrait of King Ludwig III, who reigned from 1913 to 1918. Issued as part of Bavaria’s final series of independent postage stamps, this issue marks the end of the kingdom’s long philatelic history before its postal system was absorbed into the German Reich.
