Austria Scott #613 (Mint Never Hinged) commemorates Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach (1656–1723), one of the most influential architects of the Austrian Baroque. Printed in a warm brown-violet shade, the stamp features an engraved portrait of Fischer von Erlach framed by subtle architectural ornamentation, reflecting the grandeur of his work, which includes Schönbrunn Palace, Karlskirche, and key landmarks of imperial Vienna.

This example is MNH with full original gum, offering excellent color, crisp engraving, and clean perforations. A desirable issue for collectors of architectural history, Austrian cultural figures, or finely engraved mid-20th-century commemoratives.
