Description
Andorra (Spanish Administration) – Scott #98–99 (1977) — EUROPA Landscapes Issue — Mint Never Hinged Set of 2
This beautiful 1977 EUROPA set from the Spanish Administration of Andorra features two evocative landscape views that showcase the principality’s historic villages and dramatic Pyrenean scenery. Issued as part of the CEPT “Europa” series, these stamps highlight the cultural and natural identity of Andorra at a time when Europa issues were gaining worldwide popularity among collectors.
3 PTA – Poble d’Ansadonge (Scott #98)
A rustic view of the traditional stone village of Ansalonge, framed by mountainous terrain and agricultural haystacks in the foreground. A classic vignette of rural Andorran life in the late 20th century.
12 PTA – XUCLAR, Paisatge (Scott #99)
A sweeping panoramic mountain view, capturing the rugged valleys and slopes that define Andorra’s alpine geography. The perspective and soft coloration create a timeless, painterly quality.
Both stamps are Mint Never Hinged (MNH) with clean gum, excellent color, and sharp detail—ideal for Europa collectors, Spanish Andorra specialists, or anyone building a thematic “mountains” or “landscapes” collection.
Printed by FNMT (Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre), these stamps remain some of the most attractive Europa issues of the 1970s.
