Description
Albania Scott #860, issued in 1972, is part of the country’s striking series depicting traditional hunting scenes. This 50 qindarka value shows a dramatic winter tableau: a wild boar brought down in the snow, with the hunter approaching through the trees in the background. The artwork uses soft blues and whites to convey the cold forest setting, contrasted with the warm tones of the animal’s coat.
This example is Mint Never Hinged (MNH) with full original gum, clean perforations, and excellent color saturation. A visually compelling issue that reflects Albania’s mid-20th-century artistic style and its emphasis on rural life and national traditions. Ideal for collectors of Albanian wildlife, hunting themes, or modern Eastern European pictorials.
